Terrible’s Town 250 was a Blast |

Just got back after a long day covering the Best in the Desert Racing series’ Terrible’s Town 250 in Pahrump Nevada.
This was an exciting race. Deemed as one of the roughest offroad races in Nevada the Terrible’s Town 250 holds to its motto.
The day started at 6:30 am for the start of the race. This just happened to be the day of recording breaking heat in Pahrump of 96 degrees, and I got the burnt neck to show for it. The racers started one at a time and after an hour and a half the last UTV started.
On our way to the last check point of the race at mile marker 241 we grabbed some breakfast (some sub sandwiches at 8:45 am). We eat quickly and went over to set up for the finish. Believe it or not the first person to come passed us was a trophy truck at only 4 hours and 7 minutes…they were flying!!!
The day ended after taking over 700 pictures. Look for highlights of this event in our June issue.

| Born in Las Vegas I grew up around the desert. I saw my first offroad race in 1981, The Mint 400. It was definately a memorable experience.
I created Prerunner Maniac to help support the Offroad Racing community, and it is something I truly enjoy. |
