While checking out some of the greatest the offroad industry has to offer at the Extreme Motorsports Expo 2007 my eye is caught by this retina burning flamed out custom Rhino. Now I am not talking about a “normal” flame job you would see on an old Merc, I mean realistic fire. After taking a closer look I met the Guys at Lion Cart, Terry Couch and Mark Broyles. Lion Cart specializes in accessories for the Yamaha Rhino, Polaris Ranger, and even the not yet released Polaris RZR. Based in Phoenix Lion Cart is a premier source for Side X Side aftermarket parts and accessories. They also build complete custom rides to their customer's specifications.

Seeing this Rhino will make just about anyone drool. The paint job actually consists of realistic flames and ghost skulls throughout; over a black cherry base. They even customized a stainless steel cooler to match. The chose to use Black ITP SS108 14x7 wheels in the front and 14x8 wheels in the rear with ITP Terra-cross tires really compliments the paintwork.

You will also notice the Lion Cart deluxe 4-seater roll cage with a detachable cooler rack, Baja style front and rear bumpers also made by Lion Cart and the 4 Laser Lights that adorn the front Baja bumper.

The 4-seater roll cage protects the custom stitched seats covered with maroon ostrich fabric with flame stitching and outer black leather trim. Just what every Rhino needs. While relaxing in the custom seats you can also listen to your favorite tunes by way of the 6 built-in Rockford Fosgate speakers mounted inside of them. There are 4 x 4.5 inch speakers in the front buckets; 6x9s in the rear bench, and a thunderous 10” sub sits under the driver seat all powered by a Rockford Fosgate 400W amp with a Clarion CD player sending the signal.

Looking over the dash you will see the Lion Cart steering wheel with black leather wrap, the RIS Designs 9MM bullet insert light switch, shift knob, and gas cap, and the Billet Equipped black anodized dress up kit. Dressing up the intake is a Lion Cart billet air intake.

I asked the Guys at Lion if they planned on doing anything else to their Rhino and they said they plan on installing their long-travel kit, and aluminum hardtop that will be painted to match. They are also adding paint-matched doors and a GPS and video system.

All in all this is a very well equipped Rhino. It is not something I would consider racing in Baja, but hey that is not what is was made for. I am sure if that is what you want the Guys at Lion Cart would be happy to build you one.
