Arizona’s largest Sand Expo, Offroad Show, and RV & Hauler Expo-- are set to host the DIRT Industries.com SXS Nationals presented by Dirt Alliance and M4SX.  Featuring a Dirt Industries.com Pro Purse of $10,000 the SXS Nationals Championship round is scheduled to take place on all three days of the Arizona’s largest Powersports Event.  The series started on July 14th in Hesperia, CA and has two remaining races to go before the big Championship event in December.   Show promoter Andy Myers states “the addition of the Dirt Industries.com SXS Nationals presented by Dirt Alliance and M4SX is great added value to our attendees and vendors. It was hard for me to add this to our already packed weekend but I feel that the morning time slot is ideal for vendors, race teams and my staff.  Ken and Travis at the SXS Nationals have done an outstanding job at organizing, presenting, and promoting their races, with that I feel confident that the Dirt Industries.com SXS Nationals will be a success at our event”.

Packing our bags for the Extreme Motorsports EXPO 2007 Print E-mail

We are almost on our way to Costa Mesa for the Extreme Motorsports EXPO 2007. Our friends at Woolworth motorsports are going to be meeting us down there, as they were invited to hang out in the Dixon Bros Racing booth. I am hoping we can meet Aaron Dixon and get an interview with him. I would love to get into his head, just to find out where he thinks the offroad industry is headed.

Terrible’s Town 250 was a Blast Print E-mail

Just got back after a long day covering the Best in the Desert Racing series’ Terrible’s Town 250 in Pahrump Nevada.

This was an exciting race. Deemed as one of the roughest offroad races in Nevada the Terrible’s Town 250 holds to its motto.

The day started at 6:30 am for the start of the race. This just happened to be the day of recording breaking heat in Pahrump of 96 degrees, and I got the burnt neck to show for it. The racers started one at a time and after an hour and a half the last UTV started.

On our way to the last check point of the race at mile marker 241 we grabbed some breakfast (some sub sandwiches at 8:45 am). We eat quickly and went over to set up for the finish. Believe it or not the first person to come passed us was a trophy truck at only 4 hours and 7 minutes…they were flying!!!

The day ended after taking over 700 pictures. Look for highlights of this event in our June issue.
