In hopes of getting a better ride on-road the automakers have made a move to independent front suspension designs. Now if you have been into prerunners for a while this might seem like a step back in technology.

To hopefully squeeze out a little more power from of our 4.0 V6 in Project Desert Ranger we decided to see if the claims made by Flowmaster were true.

We met Nick Irwin of Vision X at the 2007 SEMA show where they we debuting their new LED technology. I have been a long time proponent of LEDs ever since I was a kid, going to the electronics store to put LEDs on my r/c cars. Well now you can have LEDs on your big toy.

When we first started Project Desert Ranger I had a set of 6” KC Daylighters which seemed impressive compared to the factory Ranger lights. After adding the FOX remote reservoir shocks to the rear (and of course the Dixon kit in front) we were able to go faster off-road and this included the night time as well.
