The annual Dusty Times 250 here May 8-10 had a little of everything ranging from a heart-warming meet and greet at a local elementary school to non-stop action on a 60-mile course in an event that featured water, trees and something called "Oh My God Hill" that drops into the back side of this fascinating 100-year old town situated northeast of Las Vegas.

Short-Course Race Fans had it great for the season opener in Primm. Friday’s qualifying was brutally winding causing some of the racers to ease of the skinny pedal when hitting the table-top at the end of the track.

I am starting to think that there is some kind of magic over the land of Parker that plays host to the Best in the Desert Bluewater Resort & Casino Parker "425". With most of the land that racers tread on being Indian land, I wonder if the tribe does a little rain dance before the event?

The Henderson Fabtech Desert Classic race marks the end of a great season of racing for the Best in the Desert Racing Association. At the close of last year’s season there was a press release stating the Eldorado Valley was to be closed to Desert Racing. Well be it his charm or his business savvy Casey Folks managed to put this race on one more time, with a bit of a twist.
