We had been hearing rumors that this years SEMA show was not going to be like it had in the past. With homes foreclosing, and people loosing their jobs the last thing on their minds is automotive aftermarket. Well this might have been true for some but there was still a huge presence this year to the tune of over 125,000 people.

It was another beautiful day in the OC for the opener of the 2009 Extreme Motorsports Expo. We covered this event in 2007 and was surprised at the quality of the vendors and attraction. Well this year we saw even more vendors dedicated to Side x Sides and Prerunners.

This year SEMA definitely stepped up its game when it comes to the desert and the items we like for our Prerunners and Side x Sides. The Truck and Off-road area was twice the size this year as it was last year.

While working on an upcoming segment of our “Meet the Race Teams” features, I got the opportunity to really go behind the scenes of the Team Ford Racing team, I actually got a ride in their Trophy Truck, two rides to be exact.
